      Your Croatian Sailing Itinerary

      Your Croatian Sailing Itinerary

The itinerary for your cruise aboard Yacht Delphinus is completely flexible — designed around how you like to spend your time on holiday and to ensure you get the very most out of your experience on the water. Each day can be tailored to your preferences whether you’d like to: Log more sailing miles and gain hands-on experience at sea. Spend time exploring charming harbours and local sights. Drop anchor for a swim in the warm, crystal-clear Adriatic. Learn the ropes or brush up on RYA navigation theory. Practise boat handling and mooring techniques or simply unwind on deck with a good book and a cold drink, soaking up the sun as we hop between Croatia’s stunning islands and the beautiful Dalmatian coastline. Of course, as with all sailing adventures, the weather and sea conditions may occasionally shape the day’s plans — but rest assured, your skipper will always make the most of what each day offers. Below you’ll find a sample itinerary for guests arriving early or mid-morning, to give you a taste of what your week aboard Delphinus could look like.

      Day 1

      Arrival

      Arrival

Your Adriatic adventure begins the moment you arrive. After meeting and greeting at the airport, enjoy a short drive to Cavtat, where you can stretch your legs while exploring this picturesque harbour. For breathtaking panoramic views, you may choose to take a courtesy drive up to the top of Mount Srd, overlooking Dubrovnik Old Town, and stop for lunch or a drink at the cliff-top Panorama Restaurant (www.nautikarestaurants.com/panorama-restaurant-bar) — a truly unforgettable introduction to the area. Alternatively, if you prefer to unwind after your journey, head straight to Yacht Delphinus, just a 35-minute drive from the airport, and settle in on board. Complimentary welcome drinks and snacks will be waiting as we familiarise you with the yacht and run through the mandatory safety briefing. For guests eager to start their sailing adventure immediately, we can slip lines and sail to a nearby island, anchoring offshore or using a taverna mooring buoy for the evening. If you’d rather take it easy, spend the afternoon relaxing on Delphinus at her private mooring, enjoying the Adriatic views and complimentary drinks. As evening falls, wander down to one of the local restaurants for dinner or venture into Dubrovnik Old Town for a ‘must-see’ visit of this stunning UNESCO World Heritage site.

      Day 2

      Lokrum and Sipan

      Lokrum and Sipan

Swim or tender ashore to explore this charming little Island. Afternoon sail to the Island of Sipan. Anchor and take the tender ashore for supper or perhaps enjoy the Skippers' BBQ onboard.

      Day 3

      Ston and Mljet

      Ston and Mljet

Sail to the little town of Ston on the Peljesac peninsular, famous for its salt pans and oyster farms, sight see the town and 'walk the wall' for those feeling energetic. The view from the top is worth the effort! Afternoon sail over to the island of Mljet to overnight in one of the many picturesque harbours.

      Day 4

      Mljet

      Mljet

Sail up along the coast of Mljet to Polace or Pomena on its most Western tip. From there, take a taxi or hire electric bicycles to visit the beautiful national park and enjoy a lakeside picnic lunch. Perhaps the Skippers BBQ on board at anchor in the evening or moor up outside one of the local Tavernas for supper.

      Day 5

      Korcula

Sail over to the Island of Korcula to experience the beautiful old walled town of Korcula itself, often referred to as 'Little Dubrovnik, and firmly believed by Croatians to be the birth place of Marco Polo.
